I am honored to take on the role of co-owner and CEO of @rarelabsxyz and the @RareApepesNFT project effective immediately. This is not just a new chapter for me but a transformative era for our entire community & project. For those who might not know my Apepe journey, back in August 2022 I started off as just a passionate art collector, and a dedicated member of this Rare Apepes community, driven by my love for
@pepe_designer’s artwork, and a deep appreciation for the history of Pepe The Frog and Rare Pepe NFTs (@pepe__wtf) on Bitcoin via @counterpartyxcp.
In October 2022, I officially joined the Rare Apepes team as the Head Of Communications. Over the past 3 years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Rare Designer and Kountervailor, contributing in various capacities to ensure that all of our public releases & the evolution of the Rare Apepes brand and Rare Labs company met the highest artistic, technical, and professional standards.
Now, as I officially step into this new leadership role, my commitment to our core principles: ART, BRAND, COMMUNITY, remains unwavering. Our unified focus as a project and community will continue to be on creating & providing unparalleled art, memes, as well as developing fun, immersive and innovative digital experiences deeply rooted in art curation and collecting, while reinvigorating the Rare Apepes brand.
Together, we will CO-BUILD the Apepeverse/R.A.M.U (Rare Apepes Memetic Universe), fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Let’s make this transition a positive and transformative experience for all of us. I am committed to maintaining transparency and seeking on-going guidance, and input from our Rare Apepes community “HIVE MIND” for the decisions that will shape our future.

Embracing Our Roots and Forging New Paths Our journey started with stunning art & boundless creativity of @pepe_designer re-designing and re-imagining the artistic concept of Pepe The Frog and evolving that idea & merging with it the trait DNA from the @BoredApeYC and creating something completely brand new, unique and original embracing the evolution of crypto and blockchain, and the rich history of Pepe The Frog and Rare Pepe NFTs on Bitcoin circa 2016.
The Rare Apepes have been a cornerstone of the meme culture, rooted in the vibrant legacy of Pepe the Frog and the revolutionary Rare Pepe crypto art (@pepe__wtf) (the first NFTs ever created circa 2016) on Bitcoin’s @CounterpartyXCP protocol. The Rare Apepes saw an incredible community response during the FREE MINT re-launch in July 2022, and have continually strived to push the boundaries of creativity, memetics, evolution, and community empowerment. The origins of the Rare Apepes trace back to the genesis of Pepe the Frog, an apolitical open-source meme that grew in popularity due to its organic network effect.
@pepe_designer, also known as Rare Designer, started creating Rare Pepe memes on the Bitcoin blockchain in 2017, making a significant impact in the crypto art world with stand out art pieces like the legendary PepaLisa (created in 2018).

Community: You are at the heart of everything we do. Your input and involvement are essential as we co-build the R.A.M.U (Rare Apepes Memetic Universe).
Our new vision for the Rare Apepes is to transform the project into a creative decentralized hub for artists, builders, and collectors.
Here’s what we aim to achieve:
A Space for Artists: We are creating an open platform for artists to come and collaborate, where they can develop new art, characters, and storylines tied to the Rare Apepes ecosystem while maintaining their unique artistic voice.
Decentralized Creativity: We envision Rare Apepes as the decentralized hub where artists and builders unite to grow the Rare Apepes Memetic Universe (R.A.M.U). With the support of our community, this will be a place where new characters, worlds & products are born. These contributing artists will also share in the success of their sub-collections.
Expanding the Apepeverse: Our goal is to invite artists from across Web3 to expand the Rare Apepes story and push it into new directions. We believe in creating opportunities for artists to grow their audience, and develop new art based sub-collections that build on the foundation of the wide spanning Rare Apepes brand & universe.
Heart and Art: While we MAY NOT have a massive budget (currently operating with $0), we have something better—heart and art. The Rare Apepes is committed to fostering creativity and supporting artists who believe in & align with the larger, long term vision.
