I am a huge fan of your blog, I have been checking it out for a few months, but forget to check back in some times. I really don’t have anything to add, but I wanted to say thank you for making this wonderful website!

Most users these days seem to use other systems like WordPress, but I think BlogEngine.NET is the best system to use.

I, too, was surprised at how many people perceive themselves as “shy” – and I think the article really provides sound advice on how to overcome shyness. So much potential could be unleashed if people were to learn how to deal with it, and be comfortable in any environment.

I’m pleased to appear in Toronto is Mine as it was my mother’s birthplace and part of my life.

I, too, was amazed by the statistic of how we perceive ourselves as shy. Even more interesting, when I wrote the first version of my book in 1988, the stat from the Stanford Shyness Clinic was 80%. That huge jump of 13% by 2000 was attributed to our use of technology rather than real time social interaction. That is the basis of my new book: Face to Face: How To Reclaim The Personal Touch in a Digital World.

I have another suggestion for those who are uncomfortable upon entering rooms full of people we may not know: Instead of dwelling on our own comfort or lack of it, focus on making others comfortable with us. That abates some of our self consciousness and helps us reachout to help others who may be more uncomfortable … and even shy.
